Day 74: Today's Weight-Loss Tip — Blood, Sweat & Beers

Monday morning holiday weigh-in: 146.6

I attribute this weight loss to yesterday's exhausting schedule, which I'm calling Blood, Sweat & Beers. Actual blood was shed during the drywalling process, as was sweat. A lot of sweat. And as fast as the sweat pored out, the beers pored in. Okay, it was only three, but I probably sweated them all out before dinnertime.

And then there was today. Labor Day. A day of rest for hard workers — which apparently doesn't include me. I did manage to get the last of the drywall in place, so things are really looking up. I also sauntered down to Niawanda Park and the Labor Day Car Show sponsored by the local American Legion Post. It's a great place for a show, or just to walk around any old day.

Started the morning with

coffee — 1 Breakfast Blend, 1 caramel
toasted cinnamon/raisin bagel w/butter (1)

then got to work. Took a quick lunch break of

Fit & Active orange creme yogurt
     (tastes like a creamsicle — 6 oz.)
white cheddar chunks (about 2 oz.)
water (16 oz.)

Finished up in the living room in time to walk down to the park for the show. I carried my umbrella just in case, but because I did... it didn't.

It was a leftover light dinner night

meatballs on flatbread (1 sandwich)
pickles (1 dill spear, 2 gherkins)
Snyder's of Hanover Hot Buffalo pretzel pieces
(2 handsful...handfuls?... 1 handful and then another handful)
Diet Cherry pepsi (12 oz.)

while watching the DVD of the 2005 Belgian movie Joyeux Noël, about the 1914 Christmas truce observed by some French, German, and Scottish troops during WWI. Didn't matter that's it's still summer, this was a great movie, based on a true story.

Not too hungry in the evening, but I did finish off the brick of

white cheddar (about 2 oz.), and
Benton's Vanilla Wafers (about 20 — I lost count after 6!)

and called it a night.
