Day 78: Smoke 'Em If Ya Got 'Em

Friday morning weigh-in: 147.2

Through the miracle of science (or good metabolism) this number is lower than yesterday's. Who'd-a thunk?

For those of you who are curious as to what goes on while I write these blog entries, right now I'm streaming CKDO AM 1580 in Oshawa, which bills itself as "Durham's Classic Hits." I like the songs, but it sounds like some of their selections are from greatest hits compilations, rather than the original 45 versions. To me, a HUGE no-no for an oldies station. For shame!

JonaGold
So, this morning...

coffee, Tim Horton's medium black (1 cup)
L'oven Fresh cinnamon roll (1)
JonaGold apple (1)

followed by another rushed lunch of

Friendly Farms black cherry Greek yogurt (6 oz.)
turkey & cheese on an everything bagel (1)
JonaGold apple (1)
water (20 oz.)

The Old House Downtown
So what did I do before dinner? Nothing; pretty much waited for dinner, which tonight was the weekly 3.5-foot-long buffet at The Old House Downtown. Preceded, of course, by a stop at the Statler lobby bar, and

Great Lakes Brewing Co., The Wright Pils
     (2 pints - and they're still 2-for-1!)

followed by The Dinner:

calamari & potato soup
cooked apple w/greens salad
chicken wing dip w/Dipsy Doodles for dipping
cracked pepper-coated loin of turkey, baked
assorted cheeses
home-baked whole wheat bread

washed down with

Genesee beer (1 16 oz. can)

The finishing-off of the Genny was accompanied by large puffs of cigar smoke. I haven't smoked a cigar in more than 30 years; nor did I tonight, either. But try telling that to my clothes. lol

Got home in time to squeeze in one more

L'oven Fresh cinnamon roll (1)

Seems like good place to call it a night.
It's a night.
