Day 17: Maybe Red Wine Doesn't Give Me A Headache After All

morning weigh-in: 152.0 lbs.

Could have been a lot worse after the previous day's macaroni salad-eating marathon. It was kind of a rushed morning before getting ready for church, so all I had was

coffee, black (1 cup)

Am I lazy? Why, yes I am! We eventually got home from church and made up some lunch

egg salad sandwich on whole wheat bread (1)
coffee, black (1 cup)

See, I told you coffee was easy! It was enough to get me going though, and into the living room for a bit of reconstruction fun. Yeah, fun. Right. And then outside for a bit of yard work and

water (4, 12 oz. each)

God may have rested on the seventh day, but He wasn't living in a house like ours. Afterwards did some porch time with an old friend

Genny Light (1 can)

before lighting the grill for the start of a more traditional Sunday dinner. One like this

peppercorn pork tenderloin — yes, from Aldi (4 slabs. Hey, they were small!)
steamed potatoes
corn-on-the-cob (1 ear)
water (12 oz.)
Genny Light (1 can)

And after dinner I did something which goes against everything I've said about red wine for the last 40 years. I had a glass. But this was special; something Tracy and I picked up a couple of summers ago while on a Chautauqua County wine tour

Willow Creek Winery Chocolate Temptations (1 glass)

Look Ma! No headache (at least as I write this). And get this: it tastes like a Tootsie Roll. Can't go wrong with that! Finished off the night with an unusual snack, which just looked so forlorn sitting there in the fridge by itself

hard-boiled egg (1)

And that's no yolk!
