The Boomtown Rats didn't like Mondays, but the Mamas & the Papas did. So do I as long as these three-day-weekends hold out. This morning the electricians were coming to rewire the living room project from Hades. Now that they're gone we should make some real progress. We shall see.
Before they arrived though...

then I had to rearrange the mess in the living room. It was still a mess, but it looked different from when I started. I always feel guilty when there are workmen in the house; I feel like I should be doing something, but can't really. So I sat at the kitchen table and did the crossword puzzles from the Sunday paper. That way I was close-by to answer such questions as "Do you think we could just duct-tape the cats to a chair so we can keep the kitchen door open?" Hah! had a quick lunch of
leftover Sloppy Joe, bunless (about 2 sammiches worth)
Yoplait strawberry yogurt (6 oz.)
water (12 oz.)
When they left I was off to get my Friday flat tire fixed. I'm not driving around Timbuktu tomorrow on a doughnut.
And then, suddenly, it was dinner time
grilled chicken breast w/Chiavetta's
marinade (1/2 breast)
Sweet Harvest chunky strawberry
applesauce (1 bowl)
corn muffin (2)
leftover elbows w/red sauce (1 serving)
Genny Light (1 12 oz. can)
Coke Zero cherry (12 oz.)
A little computer work. Work, I said, not time-wasting.
And get a load of the pathetic snack I served myself early in the evening:
shelled walnuts (1/2 of a small child's handful)
Fritos (8. Yes, 8... of the stalest Fritos I've ever had!)
Good night already.
